Wall travelling cranes for the automotive industry

No two cranes are alike. But if you're looking for a very special solution, you need an engineering expert in this field, like Haslinger GmbH. This crane manufacturing partner of STAHL CraneSystems has implemented no fewer than four wall travelling cranes for a leading German car manufacturer at a site in southern Germany. Apart from the fact that such systems are rather rare per se, the cranes stand out for several special features.

Pfaff-silberblau - Specially developed special lifting units for AGVs/AGVs from KUKA

Columbus McKinnon Engineered Products is now supplying Pfaff-silberblau HEK10.1 lifting units as standard equipment to KUKA for integration into the KMP 1500 Mobile Platform. The lifting unit is a special development according to DIN EN 1494:2009-05 and EN 1570-1:2011+A1:2014 "Safety requirements for lifting tables" specifically for this automated guided vehicle, which moves around autonomously. With a lifting capacity of 10 kN per lifting unit, large loads can be moved around very flexibly on the small, manoeuvrable platform and moved vertically at speeds of 50 mm/s over a lifting path of 200 mm. Thanks to its two lifting units, the KMP 1500 transports loads weighing up to 1.5 tonnes safely through production and warehouses.

Pfaff-silberblau - PHOENIX lifting column

With our PHOENIX lifting columns, forces of up to 25 kN can be easily moved. The versatile installation options, such as vertical, horizontal or overhead, and the compact design meet many requirements for use.

PHOENIX lifting columns are suitable, for example.B. for: Ergonomic height adjustment of work and assembly tables, lifting and moving eccentric loads without additional guides and visually demanding applications such as exhibition stands and much more.

Automated Guided Vehicles Provide Increased Operational Efficiency

The OEM of Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) discovered that linear actuators used in the design of their AGVs were wearing out sooner than expected. Columbus McKinnon was able to replace the previous actuator with the Duff-Norton brand LT50-2-50 linear actuator, a long-lasting micro limit switch actuator.
