IMPULSE®• Series 4 AC drives continue our tradition of providing the most technically advanced, reliable, and cost-effective adjustable frequency crane controls available. With hundreds of thousands of drives in operation backed by decades of experience, IMPULSE® drives are the smart choice.
With a family of trusted global brands, Columbus McKinnon products leverage our company’s rich history
of industrial manufacturing to revolutionize the future of lifting and motion control.
Magnetek's IMPULSE Series 4 drives, including the IMPULSE G+ and the IMPULSE VG+, provide the most reliable adjustable frequency crane controls available.
Ever since the Industrial Revolution, cranes and hoists have been in manufacturing plants and other industrial facilities. Surprisingly, in the 100-plus years since then, not much has changed in the basic structure of these fundamental production tools. What has changed, however, is how overhead cranes and hoists are controlled.
Variable frequency drives, or VFDs, are a type of AC motor controller that drive an electric motor by varying the frequency and voltage supplied to it. VFDs are also commonly known as variable speed or adjustable speed drives, AC drives, micro-drives or inverters – depending on the industry or application.
