The rugged controller monitors and controls the system’s M-FORCE® SD Drives providing operation and fault reporting. The Controller provides full-time monitoring of motor drive temperature, battery health status, system faults, run time, and a host of other features.
The display in a MSHA approved housing provides real-time performance monitoring of the control system through the controller. External controls allow for system programming and re-configuration, data reporting, and troubleshooting within a permissible area.
M-FORCE® Accelerator Pedal Foot Switch
The M-FORCE® Accelerator Foot Switch provides “on/off” and “speed” reference signals to solid-state controllers such as traction or variable frequency drives. This rugged, all metal device is ideal for harsh environments and off-road electric vehicles in material handling and mining. The gain and offset settings can be factory configured for specific applications, eliminating the risk of improper field adjustments and resulting in increased safety and reliability. The device offers a magnetic rotary sensor instead of a resistive potentiometer device but still uses an electro-mechanical neutral sensing snap switch for added safety and provides trouble free operational cycles.
Custom Engineered Systems
Magnetek can provide custom-designed engineered power solutions for applications such as transportation, mining, marine or locomotive applications using our M-FORCE® SD500 Variable Frequency Drives. Magnetek can also provide custom monitoring, data collection and display systems integrated with any Magnetek M-FORCE® SD Drive to provide the ultimate in assured performance and control. Our flexible building block approach allows us to configure a custom display and controller to your exact requirements. The control interface provides real-time diagnostics for preventative maintenance and troubleshooting, reducing down time and repairs.
Adjustable operating speeds, torque limits, and controlled stopping allow for smooth operation and torque control from stall to 400 Hz.
Increased Energy Efficiency
A custom engineered system can improve the power factor and reduce in-rush currents to minimize energy consumption.
Controlled start-up torque decreases the wear and tear on the motor and connected load, which reduces mechanical breakdown to extend motor life.
Over 150 years of combined experience means Magnetek has the expertise to skillfully serve your application needs before, during, and after we complete a project. With products designed to maximize the performance of your material handling system, start-up and field assistance, programs designed to train employees on optimal product usage, and quick, value-driven product repair and recertification, Magnetek is able to assist you with the highest level of service.
