MENOMONEE FALLS, Wis. - April 22, 2015 - Magnetek, Inc. (NASDAQ: MAG), a leading designer and manufacturer of elevator drives, today announced the availability of the Company’s new M1000 Elevator Drive, which offers advanced control functions required for today’s high-performance elevator controllers for operation of Induction Motor (IM) and Permanent Magnet (PM) motor applications.
M1000 brings the industry’s most reliable hardware platform together with the most innovative and user-friendly interface to create a cutting-edge drive solution, making this elevator drive ideal for modernization projects. The M1000 offers elevator-specific application software, adjustable parameters, and serial interfacing consistent with Magnetek’s Quattro® and HPV® elevator drives. The M1000 has been tested to provide over 70,000 hours of maintenance-free operation.
“The M1000 elevator drive interfaces with any controller, similar to our HPV and Quattro product lines, minimizing engineering time required to integrate the M1000 into an existing controller. This feature, along with the M1000’s proven operational reliability, provides our customers with the best of both worlds,” said Ed Butte, director of Magnetek’s elevator business. “In addition, our optional Dual Operator allows for set up and adjustment of the M1000 parameters in the same intuitive fashion as our HPV series of elevator drives.”
